Terms of Service

Effective September 16, 2026.

About these terms

These terms govern purchases from and use of DIYBATTERY.CA, trading as DIYBattery. Our online store is hosted by Shopify. By placing an order, you agree to these terms and the order details presented at checkout. You must be legally able to enter into a contract and provide accurate contact, payment and delivery information.

Products, fitment and installation

Review the battery group size, chemistry, voltage, terminal arrangement, dimensions and equipment requirements before ordering. Contact us if you need fitment assistance. Product images are illustrative; labels and packaging may vary, but supplied goods must conform to their agreed description. DIYBattery provides battery sales and delivery; installation and vehicle diagnosis are not included unless expressly agreed. Separately booked MobileBattery services have their own disclosed charges and terms.

Orders, prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars unless expressly stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown before payment. Review your order and correct errors before completing checkout. Keep your order confirmation as your purchase record. If a stock or listing error prevents us from fulfilling an order as agreed, we will contact you to offer an agreed alternative or refund the unfulfilled purchase; we will not charge an increased price without your agreement. Future price changes do not change an accepted order's price.

Delivery, cancellations and refunds

Delivery is subject to the address, stock and available delivery options confirmed for your order. See our Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy. Contact us promptly to request a correction or cancellation before delivery. Change-of-mind returns and customer ordering errors are subject to our final-sale policy after delivery. Report a damaged, incorrect or suspected defective product so we can arrange an appropriate remedy.

Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law, including rights relating to defective or misdescribed goods, non-delivery and statutory cancellation. These rights take priority over any final-sale wording.

Manufacturer warranties

Warranty duration and coverage depend on the battery model, brand and application. Keep your receipt and contact us for claim instructions. Optional mobile diagnostics or installation services may carry separately disclosed fees. Manufacturer warranty terms do not replace your statutory rights against the seller.

Website use and intellectual property

Do not use the store unlawfully, submit fraudulent orders, interfere with its security or infringe others' rights. Website content and brand marks belong to their respective owners. You may use product information for personal shopping purposes, but commercial reproduction requires the rights holder's permission. External sites are governed by their own terms.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Payment details should be submitted through secure checkout, not by email.

Responsibility and disputes

Use and install batteries according to the equipment and battery manufacturers' instructions. Seek qualified help where required. We do not exclude liability or warranties that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Contact us first with concerns so we can work toward a resolution. British Columbia law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these terms, subject to any mandatory consumer rights and available courts or tribunals in your jurisdiction.

Changes and severability

Updated terms apply prospectively from their stated effective date and do not remove rights attached to earlier purchases. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
