Frequently asked questions

Find answers about battery fitment, delivery, installation and warranty support.

How long is the warranty on my new battery?

All our batteries come with a standard manufacturer's warranty. The exact duration depends on the specific battery model and brand you select at checkout.

How do I claim a warranty if my battery fails?

We offer three options for warranty claims:

Full Service: Hire MobileBattery for a fee to come to you, test the system, and handle the replacement process on-site.

Standard Drop-off: Ship or bring the defective battery to one of our designated locations for testing and replacement.

Direct DIY: Contact the manufacturer directly and process the claim yourself using your order receipt.

I need help right now. How do I contact you?

Email us at contact@mobilebattery.ca or use our contact page for help with battery sizing, delivery questions and troubleshooting. Include your vehicle make, model and year, and your order number if you have one.

Do you install the battery for me?

DIYBattery is strictly a direct-to-door delivery service designed for those who prefer to handle their own wrenching. However, if you decide you would rather have a professional handle it, you can easily book a mobile technician through our partner company, MobileBattery, to perform an on-site installation.

I installed the battery, but my car still won't start. What now?

A no-start condition isn't always caused by a bad battery. We recommend checking your terminal connections for tightness and corrosion, and testing your alternator. If you are stuck, you can book a diagnostic appointment with MobileBattery to pinpoint the exact electrical issue.

How fast will I receive my battery?

If you are located in our primary service areas, including Vancouver, Coquitlam, Burnaby and surrounding municipalities, we offer same-day delivery. Delivery availability, times and fees depend on your location and the options available for your order. Check the delivery details before completing your purchase.

How do I know I am buying the correct battery?

You can confirm your exact battery group size by checking the label on your current vehicle battery or contacting our team. Automotive electrical requirements are highly specific, so double-check your group size and Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) before completing your order.

Can I return the battery if I order the wrong one?

Similar to standard policies at local automotive retailers, all battery sales are final upon delivery. Please verify that the battery group size matches your vehicle before the driver hands it off to you. If you realize the mistake before the battery is delivered, contact us immediately to modify your order.

Do you take my old battery for recycling?

Yes we can! Have it ready before our drivers arrival for us to recycle for you. You can also take your old battery to a local authorized recycling depot.
