DIYBattery Final Sale & Delivery Policy

1. All Sales Final

Due to the logistical nature of direct-to-door delivery and the handling of hazardous materials, all battery sales are strictly final upon delivery. No returns, refunds, or exchanges will be accepted for incorrectly ordered battery group sizes, incorrect terminal configurations, or changes of mind. Customers are solely responsible for verifying their vehicle's exact battery specifications prior to completing checkout.

2. Delivery Scope & Liability

DIYBattery operates exclusively as a direct-to-door drop-off courier service. Our drivers will securely deliver the battery to your doorstep, driveway, or garage. For liability and insurance purposes, drivers are strictly prohibited from assisting with installation, diagnosing electrical/mechanical issues, or lending tools to customers. The purchaser assumes all risk, liability, and responsibility associated with the safe handling and installation of the product.

3. Core Charges & Recycling

Our streamlined pricing model eliminates the friction of mandatory core returns, meaning you are never charged a core fee at checkout. For your convenience, we offer complimentary core recycling at the exact time of your delivery. You can choose to leave your old battery outside at your designated delivery spot, or hand it directly to our driver. If an old battery is not ready at the time of drop-off, you are responsible for safely disposing of it at an authorized local recycling depot.

4. Warranty Claims & Replacements

All batteries are backed by the manufacturer's warranty against internal manufacturing defects. Warranties do not cover dead batteries caused by user error, parasitic draws, failing alternators, deep discharges, or physical damage incurred during installation.

If you suspect a valid manufacturing defect within the active warranty period, you have three options for resolution:

Option A: Premium Mobile Service (Recommended)

Book a discounted warranty service call through our sister brand, MobileBattery. A certified technician will be dispatched directly to your location to bench-test the battery, diagnose your charging system, and perform a full warranty replacement on-site. This premium option is subject to a flat mobile warranty dispatch fee.

Option B: Self-Service Return

You may safely ship or drop off the battery to our designated testing hub at your own expense. Upon receipt, the unit will be bench-tested within 48 hours. If a manufacturer defect is confirmed, a replacement will be issued. Note: Shipping heavy lead-acid batteries requires proper dangerous goods classification and packaging.

Option C: Direct Manufacturer Claim (DIY Route)

You may choose to contact the battery manufacturer directly to initiate a warranty claim. The manufacturer's support team can direct you to an authorized local dealer in their network where you can physically bring the defective battery for testing and an over-the-counter exchange. Please note that DIYBattery is not responsible for any transportation, diagnostic, or labor costs associated with direct manufacturer claims.

5. Weekend Orders & Inventory Limitations

While DIYBattery processes orders 7 days a week, our weekend delivery capabilities are strictly subject to our on-hand inventory.

  • Limited Weekend Stock: Orders placed on Saturdays and Sundays are fulfilled from our local weekend reserves.
  • Weekday Rollover: If your specific battery group size is out of stock over the weekend, your delivery will be automatically pushed to the next available business day (typically Monday or Tuesday) once standard commercial supply lines reopen.
  • Same-Day Rush on Weekends: If you pay for "Same-Day Rush" on a weekend and your battery is out of stock, your delivery will be given top priority for the next business day, and your $10 rush fee will be automatically refunded.
